The official launch of the All New Epic AMP made a big splash last week! Gracing the pages of websites, blogs and social media from San Diego to Portugal. Since none of us here at Epic EV speak Portuguese, we'll just go ahead and assume the Portuguese article mentioned the Epic AMP and how it's usefulness during a Zombie Apocalypse on Thanksgiving Day. It's obvious in our latest "PR stunt" that this side by side UTV machine is also an effective weapon against Paleolithic era Wasps that managed to make it to the 21st century undetected until now. If you haven't seen said "PR Stunt", well it's the video below.
By the way - you can win your very own Epic AMP by just "like"ing us on Facebook! How easy is that? Just go here

ATVs, helicopters, insects with a taste for human flesh and explosions.. Ya, we know what you're thinking "Ohh.. this must be a review of another Michael Bay Film" But au contraire mon fraire, this film isn't about busty blonds wielding bazookas, but please read on, we promise not to disappoint - the video will be posted right here on Evepic.com on OCTOBER 26th.
When the marketing department at Epic EV was faced with the challenge of making a promotional piece for the new Epic AMP ATV, they needed a concept as original as the Epic AMP. Let's be honest, this high performance all electric, side by side thrill ride isn't your everyday toy and it became clear early on that the idea was going to have to be as aggressive as the AMP itself.
The film's producer who is also Epic's director of marketing rolled up his sleeves and came up with a concept that may leave you wanting a sequel.
Epic's team used the Red camera, an RC helicopter mounted camera for aerial shots, custom audio score, the Amp and a can of bug spray.
We (the social media department) recently had a chance to sit down with the director of marketing to discuss the film, here's what he had to say:
Q: Obviously a lot of time went into location scouting? Did you shoot this in the amazon jungle?
A: We shot the video in Alpine, a town just tad southeast of San Diego.
Q: The film is complex, the character development is deep, it must have taken years to shoot? sort of like Titanic?
A: We shot the video in two days, the post production was actually a few months
Q: Where did the concept come from?
A: The concept was devised by myself and filmmaker Frankie Guerrero. Then executive producer Chris Anthony (CEO of Epic) signed off on the idea.
Q: This is a block buster, have you planned a sequel?
A: We can't give away all of our secrets, James Cameron reads this blog.
Q: The creature looked a bit unruly? How was it working with him/her/it?
A: Hands down the hardest part of the video was dealing with the creature. It had an attitude problem from day one and was making crazy demands. Not coming out of it's trailer, only eating green M&M's, stinging people, pre-madonna type stuff.
Below are production stills shot on location.
